What is Osteopathy?
Understanding Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a whole-body approach to healthcare that looks at how your body moves, adapts, and copes with load, stress, and pain.
Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, osteopathy considers how joints, muscles, nerves, breathing, and movement patterns interact. Pain is often not just about where it hurts, but how the rest of the body is compensating.

How I Work
My approach combines hands-on manual therapy with movement-based rehabilitation to help reduce pain, restore mobility, and enhance your body's day-to-day function.
Treatment is tailored to you and may include soft tissue work, joint techniques, movement guidance, and education, aimed at helping your body move more efficiently and with less strain.
Who Osteopathy Is For
I primarily work with people dealing with long-term or recurring issues, rather than one-off acute injuries.
This includes:
-
Persistent back, hip, neck, shoulder or foot pain
-
Chronic stiffness, tension, or restricted movement
-
Long-standing pain conditions (including fibromyalgia)
-
Pain linked to stress, fatigue, or nervous system overload
-
Digestive or somatic symptoms such as constipation
-
Active individuals who train regularly and feel “stuck” or limited
Many of my patients are gym-goers, CrossFitters, runners, and recreational athletes who want to continue training without constantly experiencing breakdowns. I also work with people who simply want to stay active; walking comfortably, gardening, and moving well day to day without persistent aches and stiffness.

Osteopathy & Movement
Osteopathy works particularly well alongside training and rehabilitation. If you lift, train, or move regularly, treatment focuses on helping your body tolerate load better, recover more effectively, and move with confidence.
The goal isn’t just short-term relief, but long-term resilience.
