Osteopathy

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a whole-body approach to understanding pain, movement, and function.

It looks beyond where symptoms are felt and considers how the body is adapting as a system, how you move, how you load, how you recover, and how different areas of the body influence each other over time.

Pain is rarely a single problem in one place. It is often a sign of compensation, overload, or change somewhere else in the system.

My role is to help make sense of that.

How I Treat

My work combines hands-on osteopathy with movement and rehabilitation.

Treatment is not just about easing symptoms, but about understanding what is driving them, and what needs to change for the body to move more freely and efficiently again. This might involve manual therapy, movement guidance, exercise, or education, depending on what is needed.

At the centre of it is the aim of helping you make sense of your body, rather than simply treating it.

Who is Osteopathy for?

Anybody and everybody can benefit from osteopathy!

Every practitioner and therapist naturally develops different areas of interest.  For me, it’s about helping people get back to moving well, whether that’s training-based movement like CrossFit/Hyrox, strength training, calisthenics, running, or climbing, or simply being able to move more comfortably in everyday life.

I tend to work best with people who feel stiff, overloaded, or restricted in how they move, especially those who place high demands on their body through training or skill-based movement.

This includes strength athletes, gym-based lifters, calisthenics practitioners, and aerial performers, where control, mobility, and load tolerance are constantly being challenged.

I also work regularly with shoulder, upper back (thoracic spine), lower back, and foot-related pain, alongside general stiffness and movement restriction.

Neck and jaw/TMJ issues are also areas I’m comfortable treating, along with general muscular tension and mobility work.

I’m also particularly interested in more complex or persistent presentations, where symptoms don’t always follow a straightforward pattern. I enjoy working through these cases, exploring how different parts of the body are interacting, and building a clearer understanding of what is driving the issue.
